DONATION TO THE LIMOGES SPA

On Saturday (1/12/18) The Rainbow Association gave a cheque to the Limoges SPA. We are so happy that we can support and help other associations to help animals in need. It was lovely to see them and some of the dogs at the shop yesterday.

DONATION TO THE ALICE FOUNDATION

Yesterday (Saturday 1st December 2018)The Rainbow Association had great pleasure in giving a donation to 'The Alice Foundation'. They were delighted as this will help them to help more cats and kittens.

The Alice Foundation would like to say a huge thank you to the Rainbow Association for their donation today....this will enable us to tackle a small colony of sick and interbreeding cats enabling us to relieve their suffering and stem the flow of unwanted cats and kittens.

Nuggett was overjoyed to see Patricia from La MARAF, when he went with his owners Shirley and Lester to present them with a cheque donated by the Rainbow Association. Nuggett is one of many that La MARAF have been able to find loving homes for.

FANTASTIC FUN WITH THE DOGS

A massive thank you to THE LIMOUSIN DOG TRAINING who raised 47 euros for putting on a fantastic 'doggy fun day' which was held at the shop on Saturday 6th October. It was such a huge success, the dogs and their owners had a great time competing in the various competitions and watching the Obedience Dog Display Team. The shop and café was buzzing with people supporting the event. It was the busiest day we have ever had. It was great to see so many customers all supporting our lovely shop and helping us to raise much needed funds to help animals in need. Thank you Elaine Smith and your team for organising and providing us with such a well organised and fun day. Also thank you to Brian Capaloff for taking the photographs and for donating 87 euros to us. What amazing supporters we have!

DOGGY FUN DAY, SATURDAY 6TH OCTOBER 2018

Limousin Dog Training and Rainbow would like to invite you to a joint Doggy Fun Day on Saturday, 6th October at the Rainbow Association Charity Shop.

Bring your fur babies along for a chance to partake in games and competition and watch our Obedience Display or have a try at Agility.

We start at 11 o'clock for the dogs and will continue through until the afternoon. You can have coffee and cakes, or lunch, in the café and browse around Rainbow's lovely Charity Shop, which opens from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

All the money raised from the Fun Day will be donated to Rainbow.

Also an opportunity to purchase the photographs of your dog taken on the day. 

A GREAT SUCCESS FOR THE TICKET TO RIDE 2018

What a fantastic success for the 2018 ‘Ticket to Ride’.

A massive thank you to Mousse de l'Epinay who worked incredibly hard for several months, organising the entertainment, selling tickets and cooking, so that we could be treated to a fun filled evening. We were supplied with such a delicious meal, that many people returned for seconds and even thirds! A big thank you to Harry Veitch who helped to get us all in to the swing of the atmosphere by providing us with great music. A huge thank you also, to all of those working hard behind the scenes. You all made the evening a massive victory for many dogs. The event donates the proceeds to sponsor those dogs that have found new homes abroad.

This year the evening made a huge total of €1167.50. Chatelleraut SPA donated €300 which was sent directly to the SPA Poitiers, bringing the total to €1476.50. The Rainbow Association Charity Shop rounded this figure up to €2000. Previous donations from The Rainbow Association Charity Shop, including helping with kennelling, amounted to €1220 euros.

DONATION TO SPA87 LIMOGES

Yesterday the SPA87 at Limoges visited the shop bringing along 3 gorgeous dogs. We are so pleased that one of the dogs found his new home when a lovely couple came along and instantly fell in love with him. We hope the other two will find their new homes soon. Rainbow Association also made a donation to the SPA87 which will go towards helping many more animals that are living at the shelter. 

DEMONSTRATION OF CLAIRVOYANCE WITH CHRISTINE BEET

The Demonstration of clairvoyance with Christine Beet held on the 13^th September in the Rainbow café, was a huge success. Having sold over 40 tickets the event raised over 500euros which was donated to The Rainbow Association Charity.

DONATIONS FOR POITIERS SPA

On Sunday Stella and Janet visited Poitiers SPA's open weekend. They took with them a monetary  donation, bedding and food. They were given a great welcome and the donations were very appreciated and will be helping many of the animals there. All this is possible because of our amazing donators , customers and volunteers. Thank you to everyone.

Atlas the rescue dog says thank you Rainbow! You have sponsored his stay in the rescue-friendly pension in Montrollet, where he learned to accept other dogs. He is leaving to his forever place in Germany in beginning of June. That is a lovely place with no stairs so he can have a good old age. thank you lovely people again!

This is Prudence my Rainbow girl she came into my life 18 months ago and never ceases to make me smile.
For a feral cat she has to be the most loving,contented and friendly girl.
I'm truly blessed that she entered my life thanks to Rainbow x

The Rainbow Association are pleased to announce that during our financial year ending 31st March, 2018, we donated the grand sum of €54.949.13!!!  This amazing amount has been shared out between the following Associations and also we have supported many trap, sterilise and release feral cat campaigns throughout the region.

Alice Foundation, Protection Animal 16, MARAF Association, Twilight, SPA Limoges, SPA Poitiers, SPA Cognac, Levriers Association, Association Cats, Association Heliominos, Association Les Chabados,  Liberte des Anes, CSFSP Wildlife Centre, Equipax Horse Association, Les Amis des Chats, Acorn Association, Chats de L’ilse, Big V animal Sanctuary.

We thank all of our volunteers who work tirelessly to achieve the success of our Association and also you, the public, who have continued to support us by donating to us and visiting our shop week after week.  We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts and look forward to a successful  2018/2019. 

The Rainbow shop was alerted,  last Wednesday, to the fact that this little poppet was obviously lost and found wandering in the Lathus area.  A local man had secured her in a cage and the intrepid Rainbow team then got on with the job of finding her owner.  A trip to the vet was in order to see if she had an ID chip and fortunately she did, the owner was located and informed.  This lucky girl was reunited with her overwhelmed owner later that day.  The moral of the story is, get your dogs chipped because if you don’t the ending of your story may not have the lucky ending this one did.

This is a wonderful story with a happy ending.This beautiful little girl was found freezing cold and alone in December by a member of the public who alerted a member of the Rainbow team.

After spending 2 months in foster care with a Rainbow volunteer she finally found her furever home,and look at her now growing up to be a pampered princess.

On Wednesday April 4th 2018 two of our wonderful Rainbow volunteers Diane & Elizabeth presented a donation cheque to Limoges SPA. The lovely dog shown is Blond a 3 years old GSD looking for a loving home.

Hello everyone

I’m really delighted to thank you for your donation for 500 euros which you've sent to help us here at Liberte des Anes.

It has been a particularly difficult few months with rain, rain, and rain, but I must add mostly drizzle here not the heavier rain experienced further north than the 82 !  Not nice to listen to before going outside to care for everyone here and muck out, I’m outside for at least  5 hours each day.

The sun has just come out and it cheers all of us here, including the mood of the donkeys, they hate wind and rain, tolerate the cold but love the sun !!

Thank you so much, our donkeys are eating about 290 euros of hay each and every two weeks for over half the year.  Then this weekend we collect more barley straw to add to their diet.  I have 5 donkeys on extra cereal feeds and spend a fortune on Auboise which is the litter for their bedding.

I can’t use straw as it’s just too heavy for me to cope with mucking out so many and this litter also makes it easier on the older donkeys when getting up.
