Janet Allfree got huge thank you kisses from this
handsome dude.Everyone meet Jack.He is a "waste product" of the dairy
industry!
He was rescued from a bin destined to be made into dog
food as he was too thin to be a veal calf.
Rainbow charity made a donation to his new Mum and Dad at
The Big V Sanctuary whose aim is to help provide a happy life for animals like
Jack.
I would like to say thank you to all those that donate
books to our shop, because of this, we have an amazing range of books. However, if you can't find what you are
looking for, I am more than happy for you to give me a list of titles and
authors and I will look out for them. I can keep them to one side or contact
you if the books come in. Ask for me, SHARON Evans or leave your list at the
pay desk.

The Rainbow Association donkeys
have finally moved to their forever home. They have been fostered and loved by
Moose and Simon Jacobs. And
what a great job they have done too, Thankyou so much you two.
The donkeys are now in the care of Rainbow volunteer Tracey Hills and her husband John and I'm sure they will be much loved there too. The donkeys were saved last year by Rainbow and Equipaix equine charity from going to the butcher. Another happy success story made possible by all of the fantastic donations we receive. The little jack Russell terrier is a nosey neighbour by the way!
Thanks to Magalie Bee and her husband Laurent for moving them. xx

Hello
everyone, I wish to thank-you all very much indeed for helping Alfie, as
Rainbow are going to cover the costs of his palliative care, his medicine he
needs from the vets to keep pain-free and be happy in his old age for as long
as he can.
Alfie, elderly Gordon Setter, came to us in foster in January from SPA
Limoges. He loves life here, not distressed at all from the day he arrived he
was "stress free", he loves all his friends and he truly is my
"Soul Setter", he came into my life
and walked right into my soul.
Sadly,
beyond sadly, Alfie has always been a bit poorly as his digestive system
doesn't function properly. But then a tumour appeared very quickly on his
mouth, his gum, urgent vet visits and tests show a large fast growing tumour,
inoperable and cancerous.
So now all we can do is palliative care, and this wonderful association,
all of you, are helping him again now by paying for his medicine and vet
checks, so that he can stay a happy boy for as long as he can do with us here.
We adore Alfie, he truly is a sweet soul, he loves to give me a "paw
wack" for a treat and a cuddle, I often curl up with him to have some
wonderful "Setter-Snuggle-Time".
The meds the vet has him on now are helping indeed, for now he is
pain-free and that tail is wagging again. The tumour is growing and the vet
checks are important to be sure it does not interfere with his eating, so far
it is not he loves his food.
My HUGE thanks again to all here and to Rainbow for supporting Alfie now,
for the "love of Alfie", so I can continue to give him a wonderful
loving time in this latter stage of his life I know he would give you all a
"big paw hug". xx

Poitevine, dept 87.
This is open to anyone who may have issues that may need

Refreshments will be provided

Has
anyone got a spare lap for a little abandoned Yorkie that just needs to be
loved, saved by a lady from the traffic and unclaimed, he is about twelve years
old according to her vet, not old in Yorkie years, doesn't need too much
exercise and loves a cuddle.
From the lady who rescued him and cannot keep him as her cat will not
accept him..
He had a bit of a flea problem which we have eliminated with a combination
of a tablet and a flea bath - he appeared to thoroughly enjoy the latter! He was very calm both in the car and at the
vet and didn't make a single complaint no matter what she did!
He
has a lovely temperament and I have seen no vices in him whatsoever. He is good
with my other cat and vice versa. He is lively, but well-behaved and obedient,
and very affectionate - most definitely a lapdog! He has obviously had a good
home and his apparent abandonment is a mystery - perhaps his owner died? He
does not seem to need or want much exercise. While he follows me out into the
extensive park I have here he only goes far enough to keep me in his sight
before sitting down with a 'must I really go further?' expression on his face!
He had a bad limp when I found him which has now all but disappeared, but the
vet saw it and said that it looked like an old injury that had been aggravated
by his running up and down the road for several hours (two people I spoke to
had seen him that day, one of whom tried unsuccessfully to catch him but he ran
into a ditch and under a culvert) and this may be why he doesn't like
walkies.
He would be a perfect and very rewarding companion for an older person
with perhaps limited mobility who would love to have a dog but cannot exercise
one properly. Or just someone who doesn't like exercise!!
He had a small lump which the vet checked out with an echography and does
not think it's anything to worry about.
So if you think you can give the little man a home, a donation to cover
his vaccination and microchip. He is in Dept 32 but co voiturage is a distinct
possibility.
Please message Lynn Hull at Les Amis des Animaux on Facebook or email: info@desanimaux.com if
you can help himWednesday, 2 August 2017

URGENT - This absolute sweetheart is looking for his forever
home. He has been put up for adoption
through no fault of his own and reluctantly by his family. Their baby of 18 months his has developed
allergic reactions to him whenever he is around so he is staying friends
meanwhile. Johnnie is 4 years old and is
an absolute joy to be around, he is good with children and if introduced
correctly he is good with cats Due to very sad reasons, he has to be re-homed,
very reluctantly by his family. He is
4 years old, castrated and chipped, chip number: 250268500708465. He can only stay where is is until the end of
the month sadly. Can you give this boy
his forever home and not only make him a happy boy, but his present owners
happy, that are so sad to be losing him.
